“Freedom” (Liberté): without hindrance or restraint.
That is the experience we wish to provide our veterans who may be affected by PTSD or that have acquired a disability of any kind while serving our great nation. The opportunity to experience Peace, Joy, and the FREEDOM of sailing through hands on teaching of the basics of sailing, transitioning to empowering individuals to embrace the pleasures of harnessing the wind themselves. We believe sailing will ultimately leave our guests with a sense of accomplishment and inspire them to use their strengths from within to stay on course and remain positive in life.
At Liberté Sails we recognize the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served and are currently serving in our nation’s Armed Forces. As a way of showing our honor and appreciation, we would like to allow our vets the opportunity to create meaningful memories.
While there are many different veteran sailing programs that focus on racing and competition, we focus more on the leisurely side of sailing, providing a peaceful, relaxing environment with a sense of freedom that we find to be very therapeutic.
